I sat awake upon a dreary night

This night I could not sleep

I even said my bedtime prayers

About my soul to keep

Yet a feeling of unsettled kind

Kept Floating over me

It kept me up and wide awake

Wondering what feeling this could be

Yet deep within my spirit I didn't get affraid

Because I knew the angels would come

If I only prayed

A special prayer meant just to be

Between the angels , God and me

So I spoke up so they would hear

The shaky words between the tears

Angels watching everyday

Please protect me as I pray

Sometimes I feel forgotten and lost

My soul in upheaval, my spirit tossed

Yet you keep reminding me

That all I need to do

Is fold my hands in front of me

And I'll see you coming through

So tonight I fold my hands

And pray to see these things

And there you are in all your glory
